Well Hello and Welcome

Wowzers, getting to this point was a whirlwind! What started as an idea to make bags, do craft fairs and buy a field grew legs (there was no land available) and so we reflected on what we could do. With the experiences we had with our dogs with or without sensitivities we wanted to offer you the results of our experiences and to know that we cater for All dogs with or without sensitivities - that's our speciality.

The Reflection

Mr & Mrs Grockle grew up with dogs, Mr. Grockle had Bassett Hounds one was called Baggy the toast and butter thief.

Mrs Grockle grew up with rescue working dogs, Border Collies, Labradors, Spaniels. All dogs lived to 16+ years, Mrs. Grockle's Molly a Spaniel Cross lived until she was 20 years old.

Together though, we rescued our first rescue dog Lottie in July 2023, this was done via Emma and Anthony at Street Hearts BG. So moved by their story, we began trying to help wherever we could, This included approaching various companies for trade pricing or discounts. Hackney Dog House, Vet Bed and Ivy & Duke were really helpful. 

We - affectionately called 'The Grockles' - retired early in June 2025 with the intention of travelling with our Lottie. We got as far as Norfolk when we decided to adopt number 2 dog and that girl was Goldie.

As often happens when people retire, they have an illness. Mrs Grockle was no different and she developed shingles - during the 5 weeks bed rest we realised that we wanted to do more for Street Hearts BG and to generate an income stream and Mrs. Grockle decided to make bags - she loves bags!! However, this wasn't going to generate the income wanted.

Thoughts turned to pet items and how there is a significant mark up on pet products and we wondered if we could do things a bit differently. Mrs. Grockle wanted it so the pensioner could always afford a little treat for their companion, she also wanted people to know quality doesn't have to cost, just needs a bit of thought.

With this in mind and drawing upon their previous work experiences in business and health, The Grockles set to developing the store they wanted which would give you the dog owner and lover, quality items at discounted prices. Not only that, but give 50% of ALL profits and 100% of ALL donations to Street Hearts BG. We do of course pay the biscuit tax to the chief testers!
