Why are we doing this?

We hoomans retired in June 2025 to travel with our Street Hearts BG rescue dog Lottie. We got as far as Norfolk and decided to adopt number 2.

Lottie joined the family in July 2023. Affectionately known as 'Big Dog' (because she's not big!!) was dumped at 6 weeks old in the middle of nowhere. Found by a chap who notified SHBG

Goldie AKA 'Little Chunk' (because she isn't very little!!) joined our pack in October 2025. She was dumped at 4months old by the village well, children wouldn't leave her until she was safe. Adults notified SHBG

The girls have grown, bonded and blossomed because they had a second chance and able to live their BEST LIVES.

So whilst we can’t rescue all dogs ourselves, we can help the shelter to continue their essential work. Lottie Luvs Ltd has been established to support Street Hearts BG to continue to

GIVE THOSE WITHOUT A VOICE, THE HOPE OF A KINDER TOMORROW

Street Hearts BG

Upon retiring to Bulgaria, Emma (an ex police officer & nurse) and Anthony (an ex farmer and commercial diver), were so upset by the plight of the street dogs they put their Yorkshire grit and determination into action. They turned their small holding into Street Hearts BG in March 2016 and also established a UK base

They are drivers of change. Developed an educational programme with schools, work with the municipality, neutered over 5000 dogs, rehomed over 1500 dogs and have the street dog problem under control in their area.… read more on www.streetheartsbg.com

Street Hearts BG Mission Statement

Our Mission is to prevent unwanted puppies and reduce dog abandonment. Our main tasks involve neutering street dogs and working with owners to educate and facilitate the neutering of their pets.

Many dogs are abandoned due to illness, pregnancy or because their owners no longer want them. Through education and by providing a free neutering service we aim to decrease the number of dogs living on the streets.

Post neutering dogs are generally not returned to the streets due to the risk of harm. We rehabilitate these abandoned dogs, provide training and seek suitable homes for them. Furthermore, the puppies we find are cared for by us, so they can be rehomed and live a life all dogs deserve.
